Why the Art of Living Center Holds a Special Place in My Heart
I was introduced to the Art of Living organization in my early 20s, when I attended a meditation held in a community space inside a local grocery store. From there, I went on to take their Happiness Program several times, along with other life-changing courses—including The Art of Silence with H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. His teachings and writings have profoundly supported both my personal growth and the way I hold space as a teacher. These experiences were foundational to my spiritual journey in early adulthood.
Having grown up with Bhakti yoga, these teachings felt like a natural extension of the devotion and inner connection I was already cultivating.
Returning now—years later—to offer a retreat at one of their ashrams is a deeply full-circle moment, and one I hold with immense gratitude.
Experience
Retreat Overview
Through the lens of BhaktiBreath, this 3-night/4-day experience is a space to soften, breathe, and reconnect with the sacred within. You’ll be guided through gentle yoga, yoga nidrā, breath-centered practices, and immersive sound healing—all held within a devotional container. We’ll explore mantra chanting as a pathway to presence and gather for a special workshop to deepen your connection with yourself.
Whether you’re seeking nourishment, clarity, or connection, this retreat offers a spacious and supportive container to settle your nervous system, awaken your heart, and return home to your innate wholeness.

Connection, Kīrtan, and More
We’ll have the opportunity to gather outdoors around a communal bonfire—open to the public—for reflection, connection, and shared song. We’ll also open our hearts in community with a Bhakti-inspired kīrtan night, chanting sacred mantras as a form of devotion, expression, and joy—also open to the public. No singing experience is needed, just a willingness to receive and participate. These evenings offer a powerful way to invite the collective spirit into our personal practice and to honor the healing vibration of sacred sound, together.

Shankara Ayurveda Wellness SPA

Their experienced therapists offer personalized treatments such as Abhyanga (warm herbal oil massage), Shirodhara (a calming stream of warm oil over the forehead), steam therapies, herbal exfoliation, and more—each designed to help restore balance to body and mind, support detoxification, calm the nervous system, and reconnect you with your natural rhythm.
This spa experience is more than a treatment—it’s an invitation to step into a deeper sense of well-being and learn what works best for your unique body and energy.
While these services are not included in retreat tuition, they can be booked individually for those who wish to complement their retreat journey with an extra layer of care.
